The Bright Futures Fund made an investment into Ability Tec, above, in 2017 to enable them to scale up their manufacturing facilities. Ability Tec is a successful manufacturer of electronics that shares it profits with its workforce (of whom 75% are disabled)
The Bright Futures SITR Fund was launched in 2015 and is the UK’s first nationwide Social Investment Tax Relief (SITR) fund.
The Fund represents a real opportunity for ambitious charities and social enterprises to access the capital they need to expand and scale their work, with a particular focus on those that are working to improve the lives of children, young people and other vulnerable groups throughout the UK.
The Fund is managed by Kin Capital, with Social Finance acting as Investment Advisor.
The Fund works with high social impact UK charities and social enterprises who are eligible for Social Investment Tax Relief (SITR) investment. Click here to learn more about SITR eligibility.
The Bright Futures Fund provides unsecured loans for social enterprises for between 3 and 5 years, with no capital repayments for the first 3 years.
Bright Futures aims to invest in up to 12 enterprises over the life of the fund and has begun to make investments in social enterprises that fit our criteria.

We offer investments of £100k - £300k and a highly competitive rate of interest.
We have made a number of investments to date in social enterprises including Ability Tec and are looking to make further investments in 2018.
